
Developer eyeing Carnation City Mall behind other projects in NE Ohio
ALLIANCE The company looking to redevelop Carnation City Mall has a record of projects across Northeast Ohio that could shed light on its local plans.
City Council took a first step toward reviving the mall property at 2500 W. State St. when it agreed Monday to work with Fairmount Properties, a developer based in Orange Village, a Cleveland suburb.
Built-in 1983, Carnation City Mall was once a bustling retail hub but these days it’s a mostly empty building surrounded by a cratered parking lot.
