Dollar stores blaze ahead in Q3 with sector opening more than 1,000 new stores

Dollar General, Five Below and Dollar Tree all pushed their sales forward in the period as they tested new merchandising initiatives, including pricier products. Deep discounters Dollar General, Five Below and Dollar Tree in the third quarter continued to grow sales and collectively opened more than 1,000 stores.
